Citadel I and II:
The box as a fortress, defending its contents. Two ideas, which one to implement? Make both. Easy, if you have enough material. The box bodies are both made from the same cherry board, the burl lids are sliced from the same block of maple burl. The variations are in the burl pieces applied to the sides and the architectural structures on the lids that act as lid lifts.

Though it differs in the materials used, "Citadel III" extends the idea of box-as-fortress that began with "Citadel I" and "Citadel II" (above).
